I have developed productivity tools and utilities based on web server, Windows
and DOS platforms. I also created some VBA applications for Microsoft Excel.
Rather than on fully featured huge applications I prefer to concentrate more on
the tiny little helpers. Helpers mostly for the things that the big ones did
not think of.

As you can see, I updated the release number structure of the toolbox. I decided that it makes more sense to indicate year, month and day of when it was compiled. As many of you, I am using quite a few of the Sysinternals utilities. These utilities are very helpful and useful freeware tools programmed by Mark Russinovich and Bryce Cogswell. The tools aim at Windows file, disk, networking, security and process tasks and are well known to a broad community. Unfortunately none of the tools comes with a setup routine, you need to extract the files yourself and create your icons and start menu entries manually. Sysinternals was acquired by Mircosoft in July, 2006.
I have collected my personal "most useful" selection of those utilities for Windows and created a setup routine so you can conveniently install them on your system. This package is now called "Sysinternals Toolbox" and can only be obtained here at Lewe.com (Downloads section). The single Sysinternals Tools included in the package are unaltered.
Note: The Sysinternals developers encourage you to visit their website to get all their tools there. Most of all, you will find many details and usage information for all utilities of which only a few are in this package.

It's generic purpose is the absence management of project teams, more precisely of their members. The goal was to create an optically attractive but also effective representation of a calendar display, showing the presence and absence of each team member.  I just finished this little but helpful Windows Sidebar Gadget. It will read your local IP address, the IP address of your local IP gateway and will also contact a supporting script on Lewe.com to retrieve your Internet IP address. All three addresses are displayed in this little gadget. Three icons represent the three different addresses.
In the Options dialog you can chose from five different backgrounds and you can also change the font color of each of the addresses. You also have the option to us a custom script for retrieving the Internet IP address. However, you must provide it yourself on a host and also you must have an Internet connection for it to work. If you're not connected to the Internet but to a localLAN, only your local IP address and your IP gateway will be displayed. Click on "Read more..." below to see a screenshot of the Options dialog.  I also do some skinning once in a while. I have lately created two skins for DVDProfiler, a very feature-rich DVD collection management software by Intervocative.
The Deviant skin on the left bases on the skin I made for phpMyProfiler, a web based GUI for the XML export of DVDProfiler. I was motivated by the color sets from Deviant Art. I added a window design from Harvey Ross, Opus-OS, and customized all together to this composition. By setting a few Javascript variables three color sets can be chosen, also the language is adjustable by variables. Get the skin in the Downloads section. The Joomlaboard component, also used at Lewe.com, supports an individual set of buttons and icons in form of a module, the mod_sbicons module. This module can only be installed once but you can give your forum a nice optical touch adjusted to your Joomla template design. I have adjusted all images and buttons of this module to match the new Lewe.com design. The new forum images are now available for download as a Joomla module. I have added the .psd files (Adobe Photshop) to the module package so it will be easier for you to adjust the images. However, the Joomla module installation routine does not all the work. Read the installation instructions in the files mod_sbicons.readme.txt which is in the archive as well. Get the file in the Downloads section. |

 Did you see the nice News Ticker in the lower right corner? It is a free ticker service available from www.shortnews.com and www.shortnews.de. I created a Mambo module for it so you can easily integrate it in your Mambo website. You can configure many parameters and make it look and behave just the way you want.
