 Measure is a utility that I wrote when I came over to the U.S. I was raised in a metric world in Germany (I still think it's much easier that way but...) and was thrown into the cold water of Inch, Feet, Fahrenheit and what not. You won't believe what a hard time I had at the DMV when I told them my size in meter. That lady was not willing to issue my drivers license until I would tell her my size in feet. So I wrote this little program that does all those conversions for me.

Meanwhile Measure does contain a lot more than just linear or temperature conversion. I added weight, volume, paper sizes, numbers (including roman), even clothing sizes and a few other miscellaneous measures. Also available at ZD-Net, Measure had a lot of positive feedback from the users who also helped to add new features and to fix some bugs. The network specialists might appreciate the kanonical conversion of network addresses.
